Bonn Conference Report

Over 700 participants from 150 countries were present. This was a UNESCO ‘’category IV’’ conference (experts meeting.
UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development
The UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (The Decade) began in 2005 and runs until 2014. The goal of The Decade is to integrate the principles, values, and practices of sustainable development into all aspects of education and learning. Implementation of the Decade is dependant on the collaboration of international stakeholders.
What is ESD?
Education for Sustainable Development is education that teaches us how to be responsible citizens, by encouraging changes in behaviour that will create a more sustainable future in terms of environmental integrity, economic viability, and a just society for present and future generations.
